GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SEASON!
It's Girl Scout Cookie Season!
Our Daisy Scout Cora is selling Girl Scout Cookies through pre-order (just message Denise or Jay anytime between now and January 24th or come find us in our offices), local booth sales (will run from mid-February through March), and online sales (there is a 4 box minimum and a shipping fee).
Cora is a member of Troop 3315 and they have BIG GOALS as far as overall cookie sales and trips/projects to use their cookie funds for.
Our Troop has already sold out of the one case of Toffee-tastic that we are allotted, but we can put you on a waiting list (and it does look like they can be purchased online if you don't want to risk not getting any!) - everything else we'll have in plenty. Our favorites are the Tagalongs and Thin Mints!
If you don't want to consume the cookie calories yourself, or you want to bump up your donation or just do something awesome for our military troops, you can purchase 1 or more boxes to be sent to members of our armed forces. There is an option on the online order form as well as our pre-order form - just let us know!

MONSTER WILL!
Will celebrated his SIXTH birthday today with a monster themed party at GymSouth, and all the kids ran themselves silly and loved every second! After a quick pause for the birthday song and cupcakes and snacks, they went back to jumping until the owners sent us on our way. Then we went to dinner with the Kennedy and Gust families at 10 South. Between all this and the biking earlier, today was a wonderfully busy day! Happy Birthday to Will!
BIKER BOYS
Christina invited James and I to join her and Will on his birthday bike ride at the military park this morning, and since Jean got us a hitch for our van for Christmas and we used a very thoughtfully given Amazon giftcard to purchase the two adapter pieces we needed to make my bike fit on the bike rack we purchased almost a year ago (oops), we got to go! We ducked out between rain storms and had such a wonderful time getting out with these sweet (and hilarious) boys. We rode all the way out to Fort Hill (5 miles round-trip, the furthest either boy had ever ridden, by far) and there wasn't a single complaint. They "used their muscles" to power up the hills (walking a few of the bigger ones when they lost momentum) and were far braver than I was flying down them...

We definitely need to do this again! And we need to get daddy a bike! And convince Cora that she is indeed capable of riding on pavement again. Though I'll admit it was pretty nice to sneak away with my little man and spend some time one-on-one with him!

COOKIE RALLY
Tonight Cora and I attended our first Girl Scout Cookie Rally! Sales start tomorrow!
We started with a weird little game called "Poor, poor kitty", watched a video about this year's cookie lineup and sales etiquette, did some crafting, sang a bunch of songs, and finished with a great big Girl Scout hug!

Goodbyes are never fun or easy, but it helps knowing we'll see Grambot and PawPaw again (and the rest of the California crew!) in June for Grambot's birthday and retirement!
