UP ON THE ROOFTOP
SPRING BREAK 2016
The kids enjoyed a LOT of crafting and game playing with Gramma again this year! She also had them practice handwriting each day and they all took turns reading aloud. There were a few hours of sunshine here and there where they were able to sneak outside to go for walks or play on the playset too!

BEAT THE PARENTS
We heard about how much cousins Eli and Addy love this game, so we decided to get it for James for his birthday. Our first round was a bit harder than we expected, but we loved it. We expect James to memorize all the trivia once we get through all the cards and then we'll never win again, because his memory is so much better than ours...
| The questions were especially hard for Cora, so she did a bit more watching than actual playing... |

Uncle Jamie sent James this cool Octopus shirt for his birthday and James wanted to show him how many tentacles an octopus has

BIRTHDAY MOO
Did you know that you can get a free party hat and cow toy on your birthday at ChickFilA? Us either, but James saw another child celebrating (and was too shy to say something himself, since his birthdya was a few days ago, so Gramma came to the rescue). The employee brought out party hats for all of us, and the kids exchanged their "baby books" for ice cream. Happy cows all around!

SPRING HAS SPRUNG
What better way to celebrate the start of spring (yes, it's come early here - it's warm, the frogs and toads are multiplying like crazy in our yard, and the trees and flowers are budding) than with a trip down to Rocky Springs for some splashing and exploring and playing?

SNUGGLY AFTERNOON
This is basically what our afternoon looked like following the run and soccer games. And showers.
(Yes, those are Cora's twins. She'd hold them like this all day if we'd let her - still, calm, and smiling.)
DOUBLE HEADER
In order to all run the Run Thru History this year, Jay rescheduled the U8 Boys game from 9:00 to 11:00, so we had a double header following that up with Cora's 12:00 U6 game! It was a BUSY morning and we were all grateful to get home after stopping for Slushes to cool down with on the way!
