Day 4 started with another walk. This time it was just Team Lindsay, out for a short birdwatching expedition.
We did the trail down to the beach again, and found it to be slightly easier with both kids in carriers.
Cora fell asleep when we were about 100 yards from the house, and stayed that way as we took her out of the wrap and placed her into her Grandpa's arms.

The living room was such a great setup for the kids. A little TV in the corner and plenty of room to run and play with their trucks.
When Cora woke up from her nap, she had some fun reading books with Tyson.

And kissing him.
As we headed out to the beach for the afternoon (before James' normally scheduled nap), BOTH kids fell asleep in the car...
...but they were more than willing to wake up and play at the pebble beach (SO cool)!

The boys LOVED running away from the waves!

James also loved collecting buckets of pebbles and shaking them up into the air. They landed behind his ears on multiple occasions...
It wasn't easy for Cora to walk on the pebbles, but it didn't stop her from trying!
She decided she needed cuddles from her Uncle Davey...
And he helped her feel the ocean for the first time. First her toes...
...then her hands.

It was COLD, so she wasn't too impressed. I'm glad she gave it a chance though.
Taryn loves her baby girl!
The boys played and played and played. We were there for almost 3 hours!

And since James missed his nap, he promptly crashed in the car. And stayed that way for a while after getting back in the house. He was SO cute snuggled up on his Daddy!
Even though it was a family reunion, we forgot to get a picture of everyone together. Bummer, right? At least we remembered to get one of my Grandma and Grandpa with all 6 of their great-grandkids! It wasn't easy getting them all to sit still, let alone smile and/or look at the camera. This is the best one I got (while my mom was doing the 'hot dog dance' beside me to catch their attention - don't worry, Taryn has video!)
My kids then battled Eli for their Uncle Davey's attention...
...and James won:
We ended the night with a movie for the boys (Toy Story 2, one of Eli's favorites). They cracked me up, all sitting/laying in a row, about 2 feet from the TV:
Which really wasn't that small...

After naptime we headed over to one of my favorite places in Bodega Bay, the Tides Wharf! I have SO many great memories of this place growing up. We used to camp out at Bodega Dunes multiple times each summer, and the highlight (other than playing at the beach and hiking in the dunes, of course) was always visiting the Tides for seashell souvenirs, lunch, and bay watching. We treated James to a "shiny seashell", sourdough bread nibbling, gull chasing, deck running, and boat viewing.
On the way back to the house, we did a little sightseeing. Cora fell asleep in the car, but James got to face the wind at Bodega Head and watch the waves crash on the big rocks and through the arch. He was impressed, but a little nervous.
The next morning, the boys laid claim to "Bompa/Paw-Paw's" shoes.
And read some books with Daddy/Uncle Jay.
And climbed the stairs. And climbed the stairs. And climbed the stairs. Have I mentioned that there were 4 sets of stairs at this place? Irresistible to toddlers...
Addy had a sink bath. And she loved it!
The end table (minus the fragile glass top) made for a great magnet toy sculpture base.
Then we hit the beach for some fun in the sand!
She thought the sand on her toes was very interesting...
