We started the day at Toys-R-Us so that the kids could use their Christmas giftcards (which resulted in a new Lego set and another Elsa doll, this time paired with Anna in their fancy ball gowns, and some Lego Dimensions packs for James).
Next we took mom and dad over to Pig-n-Pint, one of our most favorite restaurants in the area.
And then we were off to the zoo, where the animals (especially the cats: tigers, leopards, mountain lions) were on the move and making all sorts of noise. No idea whether it was the cold weather or the fact that we were there near the end of the day (feeding time?), but it was one of our best experiences at our zoo ever! So much fun to hear those little (and big) chuffs and rawrs!
Now, while the cats were awesome, this little otter totally stole my heart. Everyone had gone out to the next exhibit, and as Cora and I ran to catch up with them, the otter jumped in the water and swam alongside her! We obviously stopped to say hello, and it led to him/her doing all sorts of spins and tricks, and continually pausing near Cora and putting his/her hands on the glass by her and checking her out. Cutest thing ever!
Since we were all exhausted by the time we left, we stopped by Starbucks for coffee and cookies (they were out of cake pops), then returned to the house for dinner and a movie. Such a fun day!
