Yesterday, after dropping my Dad off at the airport, we headed over to the Mississippi Natural Science Museum to give it another try. We had a great few hours there, with ZERO drama! (Yay!!)
And what family outing would be complete without a family photo?
(This was the best we could get... James wanted to get down and run, and Cora was falling asleep)
While James enjoyed the dioramas...
...he really preferred the live exhibits (especially the large fish).
I think the sturgeon were his favorite.
Cora got to face forward in the Bjorn for the first time, and she seemed quite content to be able to look around.

Maybe a trip to the aquarium is in order? We're planning to hit the Atlanta one this fall sometime. Looks like James would love it!
I bet he would love the Atlanta aquarium - he loved the Monterrey Bay Aquarium when we took him at Christmas, and we've been wanting to see the Atlanta Aquarium since it opened... maybe we can road trip together? :)
Sounds like a plan! We want to get to a hockey game too. Once upon a time we'd stay out late when on vacation, but no more. Now we are back at the hotel in time for bed time schedules...and we are in bed not long after. Joy of parenthood!
I sort of remember the Monterrey aquarium...we went there just before we moved to Germany after my dad finished language school at Fort Ord. Would love to go back sometime...
Excellent! Maybe one of the 3-day weekends coming up (as long as Jay doesn't have a midterm due)... And I have an idea - we can each have a date night while on vacation! We'll watch Will while you guys go out for a few hours one night, then you guys can multiply your parent duties by 3 for a few hours the next night. That's fair, right? :)
Dude, maybe we'll even have a minivan by the time we go, so we could even carpool...

David will go nuts if we strap him in a carseat for another long car trip (just back from Austin, and to St. Augustine on Sunday), but if y'all plan an outing back to the Jackson museum, let Team Mitchell know. We'd love to have some adult interaction with Teams Kennedy and Lindsay as we tour kiddo exhibits!
Yay, sounds like fun to me! I think we'll only do the museum every other month (so it doesn't get "old"), but I'm thinking a trip to the zoo soon (AKA as soon as the weather cools back off a little), maybe later this month or early next month, is in order. What do you ladies think? And we should invite Team Sanchez too! And perhaps the Hollingsworths would like to join us?...
