Maybe this is why the chickens haven't been laying...
...or maybe they have and we just haven't gotten to the eggs before the gray rat snake did!
It came back two days after we first caught it. It's 6 ft long (or close to it, since Jay is 6'2"). Jay put snake repellent around the coop after that...
A couple days after that, we noticed that the two fake eggs that we keep in the hen boxes were gone. Poor snake obviously mistook them for the real deal... and we'll never get them back! (Hopefully they'll be regurgitated and not kill the snake.)
