Too many photos to share, so there will be very few words...
We decided to use our federal holiday to take the kids to the pumpkin patch, returning to the awesome farm we visited last year, which had added something new and very exciting for all of us!
They remembered the duck races from last year and requested we go there first:
The giant bounce pillow. I seriously could have launched my kids off that thing by a hundred yards it was so bouncy. They LOVED it. (Don't worry, I didn't actually launch them anywhere. I was very, very careful grandparents, I promise.) I loved it! Even Jay gave it a gentle bounce while there were no other folks on board (we lucked out with a VERY quiet day at the farm and barely had to share anything the whole 3 hours we were there - awesome!)

I skipped spin tonight because I burned so many calories running in circles. And jumping on the bounce pillow. And because my legs still hurt from the race...
Ah the pumpkin toss. Another crowd favorite. James and I hit a target twice, so we win.
Just holding on so they wouldn't go flying along with the pumpkins...

LOVE this. It's our new blog title photo. Corny, right? Ha ha hardy har har.

Using his skills to determine which way is left. Because we told him to go left.

"Which way do we go now?"

"I found a clue! It's corn! It says to go this way!!"

The corn stalks were MUCH taller this year. And our daughter was getting very tired after all the running and bouncing and swinging and not napping...

Hooray, we found the end!
No better place to relax than a pile of giant pumpkins...
Miss Independent does everything herself. And those baby pumpkins needed a hug.
Time to break for a late picnic lunch. I don't THINK Jay ate all those pretzels...

Her newest habit: twirling her hair like she sees Rapunzel do in Tangled. Precious.
Back to the corn bins. They did EVERYTHING twice. Or three times. Busy day!

Crushing corn kernels into dust. We were all COVERED in corn dust by the end of the day.

Making corn angels.
And this is how we knew it was finally time to pack it in. The kids were on Grambot's famous "sit on the bench and rest ride".
Awesome family day. Awesome family weekend, actually. We are blessed.
