BRUISED, BUT MOVING AHEAD

I haven't mentioned it here yet, but Cora is cruising now. And pulling up. And holding onto things with just one hand while busily waving the other one around or using it to play with toys. She surprises us with how strong she is (James didn't do this until he was 11-months-old), and we're more convinced than ever that she's going to skip crawling and go straight to walking. Lucky for her, she seems to have her Daddy's balance genes. At least, most of the time. She did take her first spill last week though. Dad and I were both sitting right next to her too, as she was standing at her 'crawl to cruise jungle' toy, but didn't catch her in time. She ended up with a red, swollen cheek. Then a nice bruise. Her first battle wound! It's barely noticeable today, but back at the Children's Museum on Tuesday it was pretty dark...
