Cora and I needed to be down to Girl Scout camp (almost 3 hours away) by 1:30pm, so we decided to leave the house when the boys went to work/Daycamp and spend a couple hours at the new-to-us Hattiesburg Zoo on the way. It was so nice to have some girl time! Cora slept for about half the trip (which surprised me because she hadn't been awake but a couple hours) and spent the other half chatting with me and singing along to the Moana soundtrack. When we arrived she was well rested and ready to explore! We walked through the entire zoo twice (it's small, but really cute), looked for Christopher's treasure near the alligators (it wasn't there, so we'll assume it's making it's rounds in the great wide world), rode the train, chased the free-ranging guineas (one of each color variation, and they cracked us up when they descended upon the prairie dog town and stole their food), and had lunch near the lemur exhibit before loading up for the final 45 minute drive down to camp.
(She was especially excited by the black jaguar - we spent a good chunk of time just sitting here talking to the cat)
