Sweet Will is turning 4 this week and he celebrated with a pirate themed birthday party today (since one of his favorite shows is Jake and the Neverland Pirates). James and Cora had been practicing following treasure maps all week that their Grambot made, we dressed them in pirate shirts (not that anybody saw them under their jackets - it was a bit cold), and they were more than ready to party with their little buddies. It was a great party and we all had a nice time - thank you Kennedys!

| Receiving treasure map instructions. The kids were to find the pictured objects around the yard and house, then dig in the bucket below the object to unearth a gold dubloon. Once they found all 5 dubloons, they were to meet at the group treasure chest where they traded their dubloons for a bag full of pirate booty (including chocolate coins and pirate gear). I think all the big kids loved the hunt, and the treasure reward, and the little ones enjoyed digging in the sand! |
