MINI MARDI GRAS PARADE

Since James was sick (enough so that he not only skipped the race, but his soccer game as well - don't worry, Jay still went to coach!), I took my mini me to the Mardi Gras parade solo this year. She had more fun climbing around and being silly before the parade started than she did during the parade. In fact, about halfway through she told me she was ready to go home. She had been asking for James and daddy, so I assumed she was just bored (and disappointed that the parade seemed smaller than ever, there were very few beads, and even less candy - the major selling point for my getting her out there with me in the first place). We went to the bookstore, then finally left just before the end of the parade. As soon as we got in the car she said her tummy hurt, and less than an hour later she was repeating the sickness that James started the night before. And we were suppose to leave for Texas in the morning...
Hiding under a sign
Unimpressed with the loud police motorcycles
Even less impressed that they weren't throwing candy...
The end of the parade firetrucks (there were many for some reason) were again too loud...
