AMCA VALENTINE'S DAY PARTY

The valentine that James made for his teacher Ms. Tina (took us a little while to understand what he'd written... they're learning to annotate short and long vowels, and it isn't often he has to write something without an example, so it was cute to see how he "sounded out" her name)
James' valentines for his classmates. Sweet little Ashia (his "girlfriend") received an extra special version with a heart in place of the dot over the "i" in her name...
Here they were saying "boyfriend"/"girlfriend". It starts younger than you'd think... Apparently James kisses Ashia on the back of her hand regularly and Cora kisses "Jamie's" cheeks every day...

The kids received special valentines from us as school today: little candy bouquets in drink cups. They were a hit!
