| Rain and high winds knocked all sorts of branches down at our house. Luckily, none actually HIT our house. But the playset did suffer a minor casualty... |

| However, the hail earlier in the week apparently caused some roof damage, as we had a good bit of leaking going on in the living room (through the fan, along the seams near the fan, above the mantle, and through the fireplace). Insurance adjuster came out Monday to assess the damage and now we're just waiting on their acceptance of his recommendation for a full roof replacement and repair of the inside walls/ceiling. Fingers crossed! |

| The winds caused some power outages on our end of town on Saturday, and as usual, Judson Circle was included. It was a cooler evening and the chicks are tiny still, so they were moved inside to try and keep them warmer. When I came home from my run Sunday they were walking and climbing (especially Jay's shoulders) and "flying" around the laundry room as everyone played with them (the power had returned around 1:30am, so they were already warmed back up via their heat lamp). The chicks are growing quick and getting very friendly! |

This report says Vicksburg received 8" of rain over the past 7 days, but other reports state that we got 11" (see the map below - Vicksburg is right in the center, colored dark red). Considering we filled our rainfall gauge (which holds 5") twice over, I'll go with the 11" for our house. |
