SOUTHPARK CAREER DAY

Introducing "Beat Boxer James", who has decided that he can indeed have a career as a beat boxer, because he heard someone beat-boxing on the radio and knows they paid that guy to make "mouth noises", plus "that guy is famous!" - pretty sure lead singer Justin Timberlake is the famous one in that song, but if James wants to be a musician when he grows up, more power to him! As he wrote in his Career Day Show and Tell, he just needs loooots of practice! His career day gear? We had to Google what beat boxers wear... he decided he needed a cool necklace (his has a dragon on it - I made it for him a few years ago with beads I'd purchased back when I lived in Ashland, Oregon), a hoodie, headphones, and a microphone.

Cora, of course, owns all she needs to be a ballerina (or a "dancer", which is the career she chose, to encompass jazz and Acro as well). Since she couldn't wear just a leotard to school, we added "warm-ups" to follow RiverPointe's modesty rules. And she agreed to wear the ("boring") black mary janes because "they look more like my dance shoes than my sneakers, at least". Her choice of outfit also required a ballerina bun and full stage make-up to make her authentic (and happy). She was super proud to walk into school like this and did many twirls and poses for her adoring teachers (and made sure to point out her special "ballerina bow" so they didn't miss it).
