Our Girl Scout Troop took their first field trip of the year today down to the Lower Mississippi River Museum. They watched the video and explored the exhibits, but especially liked the scavenger hunt on the boat. Then we were off to the fire house and police station to deliver boxes of Girl Scout cookies in person for their Cookies for Heroes project - everyone was so happy to see us (and the cookies)!
Cara Beth, Kennedy, James (brothers were allowed to tag along today, of course), MaJestye, Lilly, Patty, CeleBryte, Addisyn, Madison, Baylie, Abbi, Sammy, Cora, Emma, Autumn, and Asher
(We buddied up at the museum and James was my buddy. I'll give you one guess as to who Cora's buddy was... those girls wanted to be at the front and lead everything we did, so I left them to Tiffiney, since Abbi also had to be up front. So much quieter at the back of the pack with my little dude.)
(Most of the buddies held hands as they went through the exhibits, of their own accord, and I just thought it was so sweet - this group of girls is really something to behold at times - they are caring and kind and always looking out for each other.)
On to the heroes!
