We were so thrilled to visit Amy and Jason tonight and meet their baby girl, Azure, who is amazingly 8-weeks-old already! We had meant to visit sooner, but with James in daycare, we wanted to give her time to grow and develop her immune system before we visited (just in case). She was so worth the wait - a true beauty with her gorgeous blue eyes and dimpled cheeks:
James is not used to new baby noises (his daycare playmates are all older), so he was pretty interested in all the sounds she was making. We tried to give them some tummy time together, but James was more interested in the chameleon (or is it an iguana?) that Amy gave him:
To finish out the evening, James had a chance to eat his veggies (squash again) in his Bumbo for the first time. He cooperated (Excellent! It will work for travel!) and ate 2 whole cubes, though I think he wanted to feed himself rather than let Jay and Amy do it towards the end:
