BUMMER

Cora was suppose to get her Pentacel vaccine this morning, but unfortunately she woke with a low-grade fever (100.6). She was skirting the fever last night (hanging right around 100 degrees, even with a dose of Tylenol), so we figured something was up. When I checked her in for her shot-only appointment, I requested to see the doc instead. Good thing too, because it turns out that Cora has her first ear infection. Her left ear. Caused by the nasal congestion and chest cold she's had for the past 2 weeks. So, she's starting her first round of antibiotics, and is taking some Pediatex and 'Tussen for the cough and cold. Poor baby.

Then, to top it all off, she sprung a leak during her diaper change (something she hasn't done since she was 2-weeks-old) and soaked her cute outfit (from her Auntie Robyn). Now she's hanging out nekkid and napping in my office while we wait for her Rx to fill. Hopefully she'll sleep off the fever at home today and be good as new tomorrow!
Oh, and for the record, we weighed Cora at the doc's office and she was 14 lbs 5 oz. That's a gain of 10 oz in the past 2 weeks. Not bad for a sick baby that hasn't been eating as well as usual (she's only been drinking 2-3 oz of her bottles at daycare for over a week).
