The annual ERDC Turkey Trot was advertised as a 3 mile trail run this year, though Jay clocked it at 2.7 miles on his Garmin (mine died for some reason shortly after the start, so I didn't get my exact stats). I ran with Cari the whole time (we didn't walk a single hill - go us!) and we came in at 3rd and 4th place for the women, finishing in around 26 minutes (9:40ish pace, according to Jay, who was timing us too). Jay ran a 9:26 average pace and we kept him in our sights through most of the race. It was a good turnout for a busy time of year at work and a very cold morning, and the post-race refreshments were the best we've yet encountered: brownies and port wine! We'll definitely be doing this again in future years!
