MALEFICENT AND THE PRINCESSES

After making reservations for a special princess character dinner to celebrate Cora's birthday (at Akershus, in Norway, Epcot), we asked her which of her (many) princess dresses she wanted to bring to Disney to wear at the dinner. Her answer? "I want to be Maleficent! So I can scare all the princesses. Like Boo! and BOO! (said a second time with hands raised in scary claws for emphasis)" We figured it was pretty fitting (take that however you like - Cora knows she can sometimes be "vengeful", and reading this someday will surely bring back plenty of memories for her!), so we ordered her a big, poofy tulle Maleficent costume, complete with horns. She was seriously thrilled and couldn't wait to meet the princesses in all her glory...
Getting ready (which involved lipstick and more sparkles, of course)
Meeting Aurora first couldn't have been more perfect!

And then things took a turn...
...and her darkness came out...
There were enough smiles for the other princesses, though, thankfully...
Big smiles for her favorite!
...but a significant meltdown about her skirt being "too poofy" and not being able to sit right caused mama to whisk her back to the bathroom for a costume change, during which time she missed the "princess parade".
It's ok though. She didn't miss dessert!

Oh no! Maybe a bit too tired and over stimulated. :/ Looks like it was still a fun way to end the evening. Looks like you guys had the same table we did. LOL! Defnitely the same Ariel we saw. :)
