WORLD SHOWCASE

Gramma met us as soon as we got off the monorail, and after a quick trip to grab a FastPass for Test Track (because James wanted to do it again, and there were none left for Soarin'), we started our world tour. But not before a stop at the fountains to try and cool off...
The water puts on a show and jumps OVER spectators, so since the kids weren't getting wet or cooled off at all, Jay intercepted.
In each country, there was a Kidcot station where children could get their passports stamped and signed by a native, and color a giant figure/fan (Cora did Duffy, Mickey's teddy bear, and James' did Perry the Platypus, from Phineas and Ferb). I couldn't resist sending Sophie and Alex pictures from Canada and Mexico...
(Once again, please note that I did NOT pose them... However, they did consider spending all their Lego money to buy this gear, and I luckily talked them out of it - all I could see was constant sword fights and ripped helmets.)
Jean found the Waddell family seal while we were in the UK
Morocco
Jean caught Jay playing games while the kids got their passports stamped
Carrying a whiny Cora (because James was taking a rare turn in the stroller) past a huge model train set next to Germany, where we paused long enough to enjoy a brew!
Gramma and the kids needed something cool to drink too:
Dinner this night was at the Coral Reef restaurant - a place with an auditorium style arrangement of tables providing perfect views for everyone of their giant wall-to-wall aquarium, complete with sharks and divers. This was our favorite meal of the entire trip - the food was incredible, the restaurant was beautiful and entertaining, and our waitress was the absolute best (she even got Jay, James, and I fed and out the door in 50 minutes so we could squeeze in the Test Track FastPass that happened to overlap our dinner hour exactly... but it was the only one left and we just HAD to do it again!)
After the ride (a much bigger success than last time - no tears from anyone), James climbed into the practice car and threw his hands in the air saying "Mama take my picture being crazy!"
While we rode, Cora finished her dinner (sensing the theme here?...) and watched the fish and sharks until they needed the table for the next reservation. And she couldn't have cared less about not going to Test Track.
James had been eyeing the bubble guns that Disney staff were showing off around the parks for almost 3 full days before he finally decided he just HAD to spend some of his money on one. And Cora got one too, of course (otherwise there would have been constant arguing over it). They blew bubbles all the way out of the park to the resort bus line, entertaining plenty of kids (and adults) along the way. No monorail or bus naps today... Cora actually talked the ear off of a very nice lady on the bus, for the ENTIRE 20 minute ride back to our lodge, telling her every detail of her life. She comes by it naturally though, right Gramma? ;-) Plenty of energy left for more swimming on our last night at the resort too, which was fun - we couldn't say no to them, even though it was already past their bedtime... What's vacation for if not bending all the rules?!
