Every day while James was out of daycare for the past two weeks, his buddy Gabriel would tell his mama (their teacher) "James sick." And boy was he ever glad to see James when we walked in this morning... He threw his arms up over his head and came running at James, squealing and yelling his name the whole way. Then he gave him a big hug. Reports throughout the day were that the boys spent all day reconnecting. Here they are watching some Mickey Mouse late this afternoon:
(And even back in his normal routine, James didn't suck his thumb. Not even once. So perhaps the habit is broken. I suppose there is one good thing to have come from this illness. Well, illnesses. Hopefully once his hands stop peeling he won't get the urge to take it up again...)
