FREE DISNEY

Did you know there are a few things to do at Disney that are free and that little kids LOVE? Well here's the short list for you:

1) Get free parking at one of the resorts when you go for dinner. The Wilderness Lodge is definitely the one we're staying at when we do a real Disney trip some day - it was amazing (and we checked most of them out throughout the course of the night)!

Hugging the interior lodge columns.
Cora: "That's Micka-Mouse!"

2) Ride the monorail anywhere you want. For free. The kids called them trains and absolutely loved getting on and off, switching lines, and walking around bits and pieces of the different resorts and parks.

I can't even describe to you how happy "the dark train" made James. He is currently obsessed with the Avengers (he saw the movie for the first time last weekend, and Ironman is his favorite). We honestly waited an extra 2 trains at one of our stops in order to catch the Avenger train (after Jay asked one of the workers how many trains behind us it was).
 3) Take a water taxi. For free! If we'd timed it just a little better (didn't realize we'd hung out on the pirate dock as late as we did awaiting a ride back to the Wilderness Lodge), we'd have still been out on the water when #4 occurred.

4) Watch the Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks show! Unfortunately it started as we were heading to our car (we had no idea it had gotten that late - we spent 4 hours traveling around Disney and sightseeing!), and unfortunately James was terrified of the fireworks, but Cora and Jean and I stood there to watch it in it's entirety. So glad Cora shares our love of sparklers!

There's probably more you can find to do for free at Disney, but after a 3-hour nap post zombie race, we were lucky to make it out of the hotel in time to do anything tonight! We had so much fun though - just goes to show you how little it takes to entertain a pair of toddlers (and their parents...)
