While I was at the race this morning, James spiked a fever of 104, so Jay took him to the Saturday clinic. After a shocked doctor checked him out (surprised because of the belly tattoo...) it was determined to be a fever virus (they tested for flu, since it's going around town, but he was clear of it, and his ears and throat checked out ok too). With nothing to do but treat the symptom (fever = rotating ibuprofen and acetaminophen), we spent the afternoon on the couch watching Spiderman. Many, many episodes of Spiderman. Mama didn't mind though... it gave me a great excuse to snuggle my boy and rest my tired legs. Bub Bubs asked for pancakes for dinner, another bonus for me (bacon!), but once cooked and served his fever was spiking again and he had no appetite.
Fever chills = jackets and hats at the dinner table
