CHEHAW FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

To end the night (and the trip), we took the kids to see the Festival of Lights at the Parks at Chehaw. For this adventure, we turned their carseats forward-facing (so they could see the lights better). They were not impressed. Check out these "What the heck?!" looks on their little faces... They liked it once we got into the show though. Especially the "tunnels" of lights. Then we hopped out of the car and waited patiently for our turn on the train.

(It was COLD!)

Look, there's the train!
Both kids enjoyed the train, though Cora disliked the lap belt that kept her and I securely in our seat. James alternated between mesmerized and overwhelmed/scared (that whistle was LOUD). As soon as we got back, he told us he wanted to go again though, so we know he had a good time.

And in case anyone is wondering (like you wouldn't have assumed, I'm sure), we turned the kids back rear-facing before we headed back to the 'Burg. And no, they didn't mind one bit. They snuggled in with their blankey's and monkeys and snacks, and we were off!
