Just one half of the costumes for the production...
The theme this spring is Peter Pan! The big girls/assistant teachers will play the roles of Pan, Hook, Smee, Tinker Bell, and Wendy. All the little girls will play the same part for tap as they do for ballet, but the acro and contemporary dancers have separate costumes. From left you see "Happy Thoughts", Fairies (Cora's class and the other 4-year-olds), Mermaids, Parrots (our friend Cara is in this 6-year-old class), Tic-Toc Crocs (our friend Hazel is in this 5-year-old class), and Pirates. There are also stars and fire and a few other things. No matter how they perform, they will all certainly look awesome!
Dance portraits were taken in the lower studio, where parents (and cameras) weren't allowed. I peeked around the glass door to see the precious little fairies decked out in wings and wands, with bright pink sequin-trimmed tutus added beneath their skirts. Cora said the wings were the best part, and she immediately asked me if she could wear her fairy costume at Disney...
Don't worry, plenty of full outfit photos to come next weekend.
And probably video...
