Both kids reported having good first days. They made new friends (Cora befriended a little boy who was upset and crying when his mom and sister had to say goodbye, and James has Gabriel and a soccer buddy in his adjoining classes), ate their lunches, and came home with their only complaint being about the excessive heat warning (meaning, they couldn't go outside for recess, and instead had to stay inside and sing/dance and do exercise videos). Day one is in the books - now we just pray for good relationships with their new teachers and loads of learning and fun this year!
