MULTITASKING BABY

Ma-maw put James to work this morning...
I guess this is his payment for getting to play hookey from daycare.

We're planning to turn the sunroom into a playroom for James and Cora, so I suppose it's appropriate for him to help clean it up. Way to multitask kiddo!

In related news, James is home again today for two reasons: 1) he was a real stinker at daycare yesterday and 2) Cora was a real stinker at home with Ma-Maw (so she switched them out). Apparently, James was biting HIMSELF and had to be stopped multiple times and given teething rings. He IS teething (all four canines are coming in), but really? Toddlers bite themselves? Any advice here on how to stop him from doing so would be much appreciated, not that we've seen him do it at home... Perhaps he was just also frustrated to be back at school yesterday after not having been there for a week (what with his surgery and Corps Day and the long weekend). We also had our first report of him not sleeping well at naptime, fussing and not wanting to lay on his cot, and generally disrupting the good nappers. We were told his buddy Gabriel was in on it too. Little trouble makers. Other than that he had a good day, so hopefully it was just a fluke... And I'm mostly teasing Jean about switching out the kiddos today. Cora WAS a bear for her yesterday (see Dad and Margie, she still has her moments... or hours), but she didn't really mind. Grandmas have unending patience you know.

Hopefully both kiddos are behaving today... Keeping James busy is always a good idea (especially when he can also get the one-on-one attention he craves), and maybe a change of pace is what Cora needs too. Poor baby doll has her first little cold though, so we'll see how her report card looks at lunch time...
