After the race, we hit up the fancy splash park to cool off. We got there right as it opened, and it was surprisingly quiet (we figured with the holiday it would be crazy busy, but that wasn't the case). The kids ran and ran and ran, and Jay and I enjoyed standing (and sitting) around in the cool water. Ahhh...

We stayed for about an hour and a half, then rushed to find some lunch to satisfy our growling bellies. The kids didn't make it though. Cora was asleep almost before we left the parking lot (as soon as she finished her gummies), and James lasted only long enough to order his cheeseburger (but not receive it). Oh well. We totally splurged on BOPS burgers and concretes (ice cream treats made with gelato) - delicious!
