EGG HUNT #4

Cora and James were invited to an egg hunt hosted by some of their friends from the YMCA daycare, so we stuffed a couple dozen eggs and headed over this morning after my long run (It was my first double digit run since the 50K, and it felt great! - it was a beautiful spring morning and I couldn't have felt luckier and happier to be out there running, both with my buddies and then solo for a few more miles, surrounded by fresh leaf buds and singing birds!)
The 3 and under group was given a 60 second head start, then all the kids aged 8 and under (there were around 30-40 of them - no joke) went a huntin' (and the kids 8 and older were gracious enough to hide the eggs, then supervise and direct little ones to easy finds). James and Cora had a great time, they made themselves right at home at Mimi's house (and like usual, we closed out the party since they didn't want to leave...), and they left full to the brim with sugar (from cookies and juice and another bucket-full of Easter eggs each).
(This 3T dress from her portraits last year is now too short for her. Oops, didn't notice until we got there...)
(Are you sick of seeing photos of the kids hunting for Easter eggs yet? Because it's not even Easter until tomorrow...)
This backyard toy of Camille and Robbie's was a huge hit. I love that it was kid-powered and could only go as fast as their little arms could pump it! (Unlike the teeter-totter, which they can get and DO get up to mach speed in the blink of an eye!)
