James completed his 4th Nine Weeks AR Goal today, well ahead of schedule. He's one of the few kids in class to make all 4 AR Goals for the year (4 out of 24) and he's been working extra hard to get it done early this quarter by reading and testing on at least two books per week (even though they're usually chapter books these days and take a good bit longer to read). The books are longer, but they also have more difficult vocabulary and a more complex story line (he's up to AR Level 2.9 now), yet he reads them with ease (smoothly, confidently, and with inflection - sometimes even character voices!) and passes nearly every test with a 100%. We are extremely proud of him (and he's quite proud of himself too). Of course, he plans to reach or exceed AR Level 3.0 before the school year ends, so he'll keep ticking away (just 3 weeks to go)!
