When I caught them doing this, they promised me they were giving the toads "quick baths", then letting them go... They had a few dozen tiny toads in the blue bucket and were methodically dipping them into the yellow bucket, them setting them in the grass nearby. You'd be surprised how long this kept their attention while I scrubbed the sunroom clean of chicken filth. Actually, no, you probably wouldn't be surprised...
