JACKSONVILLE ZOO

Checking out the alligators (pretty sure this was James' favorite part)
Showing us where she wants to go next
The face she made when we told her she was touching the gorilla's booty...
Ice cream break
Looking for the jaguars
(James said "Daddy, pick me up too. I want to be a lizard on the wall!")
James ran up to the green anaconda and yelled "It's bigger than big!"
Somebody picked the prettiest pony...
...while another somebody picked an alligator (of course)
James has no fear of any animal, anywhere
Cora was instead quite untrusting of the little birdies...
She eventually gave it a shot though. For about the 2 seconds it took me to snap the photo.
Posing with the Komodo Dragon (which was a new exhibit 3.5 years ago)
 And just for flashback's sake...
Here is Sweet Baby James back in January of 2011 (the last time we visited the Jacksonville Zoo):

Right next store to the dragons is the brand new tiger exhibit. It is incredible (even more incredible than the jaguar exhibit, which is amazing inside and out)! Multiple enclosures that can be connected or separated, and a giant "catwalk" around the entire thing with ramps and stairs, going in and out of buildings, where the tigers can roam and get their exercise. Oh, and a pretty waterfall that was obviously a hit for this beauty:
(This is a portion of the catwalk/entrance - the center area has the spiral stairs)
Train break after lunch
Getting hot... time to head to the splash pad. After a stop at one of the fountains...
So much fun she was smiling in her sleep (while clutching her carseat handles?) mere minutes after pulling out of the parking lot (following 5 hours of walking and running and animal viewing)
Taking the ferry home just for fun and checking out the river (and giant ships) while waiting for the ferry to come back across and get us
